Registration:

Meeting Registration Deadline: May 7, 2004 – For all participants All participants must register for the meeting by clicking on the “Login” button under FDP Directory on the FDP website http://www.thefdp.org/. If you have forgotten your password, you can select the link “Lost your password?” Once you submit your meeting registration an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you. Please print this confirmation as your meeting registration receipt. Cancellations – Written notification is required for cancellations. Please e-mail Denise Greene at dgreene@nas.edu or fax your notification to 202.334.1369. Cancellations received after the deadline, May 4, 2004, will be charged an administrative fee of $25. No Shows – Following the meeting, all no-shows will receive an invoice for $35.

Registration Fees:

Employees of federal agencies, faculty and staff from FDP member institutions, including Emerging Research Institutions, do not have to pay a registration fee for the two meetings held at the National Academies’ in Washington, DC. This applies to anyone from a member institution who wishes to attend, not just your designated representatives. Affiliate Fee – Registration fees for affiliate members is $75. Non-Member/Vendor Fee – Registration fees for non-members/vendors is $100. On-site registration – On-site registration fees for non-members/vendors is $125. Checks should be made payable to FDP-MIT and should be mailed in advance to Denise Greene at the address below. Checks will be accepted during the on-site registration provided the participant has pre-registered. We are unable to process credit card transactions. Accommodations:

All participants are responsible for making their own hotel and travel accommodations. Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the hotels listed below. All meeting participants must identify themselves as part of the Federal Demonstration Partnership group to receive the negotiated government rate. The deadline for hotel reservations is April 12, 2004. Rooms will be released after this date so please make your reservations early! The Melrose Hotel http://www.melrosehotelwashingtondc.com 2430 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20037 202.955.6400 Room rate: $150 + tax The Melrose is located between the Foggy Bottom and popular Georgetown areas. The cost of a taxi to the NAS building is less than $10. If you prefer to walk it will take approximately 20 minutes. One Washington Circle http://www.onewashcirclehotel.com One Washington Circle Washington, DC 20037 202.872.1680 Room rate: $150 + tax One Washington Circle is located in the Foggy Bottom area near the George Washington University campus. The cost of a taxi to the NAS building is less than $10. If you prefer to walk it will take approximately 15 minutes. State Plaza Hotel http://stateplaza.com/ 2117 E Street, NW Washington, DC 20037 202.861.8200 Room rate: $129 + tax The State Plaza hotel is located in the hub of the federal and international business district. This property is the closest to the NAS building an approximate 5 minute walk.
